Adding, extracting and editing investments from uploaded documents
You can add new investments and associated documents to your Investor Plus Portfolio from both the Dashboard and the Portfolio sections.
Adding new company investments from the Investor Plus Dashboard
When setting up your portfolio for the first time, or adding a completely new investment company, this can be done directly from the Getting Started and Portfolio sections of the Dashboard.

Click on either the Add Investment or Add New Investment buttons shown. Then type in the company name into the corresponding field and select the Upload file button.

The AI Assistant investment document upload function supports PDF files of up to 24 MB.

Once processed, the extracted round details will be displayed in the dialogue box - select the name to assign the Deal room representative if this has been not automatically matched, then click Add company.

The portfolio company and investment round will be added to your Portfolio. A copy of the uploaded contract is automatically saved in the Documents section of the corresponding portfolio company. You can add more rounds, contracts, company update reports, and edit round information at any time.

Adding new company investments from the Portfolio
A new company investment can also be added from the Portfolio. Adding a new company and investment document follows the same process shown above, and can be accessed from three locations on the Portfolio overview page:
- Click the "Add" button at the top of the page and select "Investment" from the dropdown
- Use the "Add investment" button in the header of the Investments section
- Scroll to the bottom of your portfolio company list and click "Add a company"

Add the company name into the input field, click Upload file and follow the same process detailed in the previous section to add your investment contract and trigger AI processing.
Adding additional rounds or investment documents to an existing portfolio company
To add investment documents or a new round to a company already in your Investor Plus portfolio, click on the Company name from the list of investments displayed on the Portfolio overview page.

You have the option to add rounds for either Equity and Other types of investments (such as loans or SAFE notes).
To automatically add a document and trigger AI to extract the details, choose the purple Upload button for the corresponding investment type (Equity or Other). Only use the Add Round button if you need to manually add details - as long as some form of investment documentation is available, the Upload option is the easiest way to add investment information.

Click Upload file and select the document you wish to upload to Dealum for AI processing.
Once processed, the extracted round details will be displayed in the dialogue box - select the name to assign the Deal room representative if this has not been automatically detected, then click Add round.

The new round will be added to the corresponding portfolio company Investments section. A copy of the uploaded contract is automatically saved in the Documents section of the corresponding portfolio company.
Editing a round, or manually adding a round to a portfolio company
If needed, you can manually edit the round information at any time. In the portfolio company’s Investments section, identify the round you wish to edit, click the three dots Icon on the far right of the round entry, and select Edit.

In the dialogue box that opens, you can, for example, add or edit a round Description to assist with future audit or accounting tasks. Once you have completed your edits, click Save.
You can select Delete round if you wish to remove the entry completely.

If you only have printed documents, minimal data, or missing contracts, it is possible to add basic round information manually. Click the + Add round button to open the round input/edit box. Round name is the only required field.
