Using AI assistant to track portfolio company perfomance

The AI assistant offers a fast and convenient way to monitor how your portfolio companies are performing by automatically summarizing investor updates and reports received outside the Dealum platform. It extracts key metrics and highlights from uploaded documents.

To import investor reports for a portfolio company:

• Find the company in Portfolio and open the company’s portfolio page
• Navigate to the Reporting tab
• Choose one of the following options:

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ● Import from file – upload a report document (PDF) for AI processing, or

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ● Send via email – generate a dedicated email address and forward reports from your mailbox

Uploaded or emailed reports are automatically processed by the AI assistant, and extracted data is used to populate a summarized update and a full report. If necessary, you can manually edit the extracted reporting information. For that click “Edit reporting answers” (pencil icon) to manually add or edit reporting data.

AI-generated summaries and full reports are available in several locations.

• The full report appears in the Reporting tab of the respective portfolio company
• Short summaries are shown in:

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ● The Updates tab of each portfolio company

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ● The Updates tab in the main Portfolio page, consolidating all company updates into a single feed

Click the "View more" button at the bottom of a summary to access the full AI-generated report.
