Setting up email/message/comment triggers in the funnel
How can I notify companies about moving them to the next/another funnel step?
Companies do not receive any notifications (or information in another way) about how or when their application moves through your funnel steps. However, if you would like to inform the company of reaching a certain checkpoint in your process, you can set up triggers for emails or in-app discussion messages.
Email or discussion message triggers can be optional or required and will pop up when application is being moved to a step with a trigger:

To set up the email or discussion message trigger, follow these steps:
Go to Funnel setup
Find the step you want to add the trigger to
Click on the three dots on that step
In the opened dropdown click on Triggers
Select if your trigger is Required or Optional
Click "OK"
Click "Save"

If either "Optional" or "Required" is selected, the email or discussion message window will pop up upon moving the application. If the Triggers are set to be "Off", the email pop up will not happen. You will still be able to manually send the same templated email or discussion message.
When "Required" is selected, the application cannot be moved to that step without sending an email/discussion message. The email itself can be selected from a template or written from scratch.
If you'd like to have the correct template pre-selected for you (instead of having to manually choose one), you will need to name the template after the funnel step using the format "Move to [step name]". For example, naming the template "Move to Due Diligence" will automatically select that template when an email or a message is triggered upon moving appliations to Due Diligence step. Using such template names allows you to send emails or discussion messages when moving applications in your funnel with one click only.
Please keep in mind that the step name in the template name should be written exactly as it is in the funnel.
Deal room communication templates can be configured in Settings > Preferences > Communication.
Can I indicate the purpose of archiving an application/moving an application to a specific funnel step?
You can add a reason as an internal comment when moving applications to chosen funnel steps by using the application move commenting feature.
To turn on application move comments:
go to deal room settings
open the Preferences tab
click on "Funnel" in the Setup section
open the actions menu (from three dots below the step name) of the step where you want to turn on application move emails
choose "Triggers"
choose "Required" or "Optional" for "Add a reason when moving application to [step name]" (meaning you correspondingly can or cannot move applications to that step without adding a reason)
click "OK"
click "Save" at the bottom of the screen

When application move commenting has been set up, a dialogue for adding a comment will be displayed when you move applications to the step you have turned on application move reasons for. If you have made adding a reason optional, you are able to move applications to the step also without adding a comment. If you have made adding a reason required, you are not able to move applications to the step without adding a comment.

Your comment will be saved to the Internal discussion related to the application.
